Tandem bikes are longer than regular bikes, so you need to have enough room on the roof of your car to accommodate the rack and the bike. Measure from the centre of your front wheel to the place where your rear wheel touches the ground, then add 12. If your roof isnt at least this long, it wont fit. If you drive a tiny car like the Smart Car or Fiat 500, dont even bother measuring because its too short.
