"Pair" of links with one cranked... to run outside to inside. Allows for the chain to shortened by a half link (instead of a whole link) Very handy for custom Single Speed set-ups that require specific length chains 1/8 or 3/32" Nickel plated. (Not for use on Derailleur gear systems.)
