Oxford rear hub axle was defective
"I was not happy with this purchase. The axle I was sent was defective, there was a large split in the race on one of the cones. I contacted customer services who responded that I provide photos of the defective part (which I did) and this was followed with a request to psckage the item securely and return it, I am a busy mechanic and the part itself only cost about £5, we are not talking about a high value item - but this has delayed the repair of one of my customer's bikes. Another one should have been sent with a request for me to return the other one when I can. But actually, I expect better quality control before sending out parts in the first place. I usually get good service from Bike Parts, so this was a bit annoying, Bike Parts please do better!"
