Nice in use but non-existant fitting instructions
"It has a nice smooth action in use. The instructions for the cable run and clamping were non-existant in the box, so I followed the link to the digital user's manual. This was no help at all in explaining how the cable was clamped to the mech. (All it did was name some of the parts and show the different types of frame mounting. ) I had to hunt around the internet to find out how to do this. That's when I discovered that the piece of clear plastic underneath the clamp bolt was not just protective packaging (rescue from the bin), but was a guide to the positioning of the removable post around which you had run the cable. Similarly, I had no idea what the two small items wrapped in separate plastic bags were for. Eventually I found they were to change the profile of the brazed on mounting on the bike. A very disappointing effort by Shimano in writing their manual, which lead to a lot of frustration in fitting it."
