What's in Stans Biobased Products?
They only use bio-based and eco-friendly ingredients in their formulas. This means no petro-based additives, synthetic oils, or toxic organic solvents.

What they do use:Natural Antioxidants
They have selected powerful natural antioxidants sourced from plants to preserve and extend the lifetime of their formulas. Being bio-based products, it was imperative to use the highest quality antioxidants available in order to stabilise and protect against oxidation.

Oleochemicals
Oleochemicals are compounds derived from plant and animal fats. This covers a wide range of materials that they use in complex combinations to achieve the functionality they require for their products.

Seed Oils
Seed oils are triglyceride oils extracted from seeds such as canola, hemp, and corn. Seed oils also have a wide range of functionalities that, when used in the correct combinations, provide a base oil superior to synthetic oil and petro-based oil.

Stan's Biobased Suspension Oil is compatible with all suspension components and can be used on your bicycle as an alternative to the commonly recommended petroleum oils.

The weight system is a bit confusing when it comes to identifying oils because its not a real unit of measurement. It is non-standardised terminology used to describe certain oils, This means that a 5 weight oil could also be something like a 2.5 or a 3 weight oil from a different brand.
