This cutting and milling tool for T47 threads is a professional tool specifically designed for re-cutting work on the bottom bracket thread and for milling on the bottom bracket shell. After the thread is recut, the cutting tool is disengaged and the face milling tool is used. There is no need to re-clamp the tool, ensuring 100% accurate milling & cutting of the bottom bracket shell treads.

The new T47 standard combines the advantages of BSA and large-volume bottom bracket shells with a diameter of 46 mm, e.g. PressFit 30, BBRIGHT PressFit, 386EVO, OSBB. By means of this cutter, the existing housings can be provided with a flat milled surface. Thus, analogous to BSA, bearing shells can be professionally screwed as usual.

The proper function of the cutters can only be guaranteed with metal. Special attention must be paid to glued-in/laminated metal sleeves when cutting the thread, as these are exposed to high torsional forces. Furthermore, not every frame is suitable for this type of conversion. Please ask the respective manufacturer of the frame.

Please note: Letters or marks applied to the tool always refer to the tool itself. I.e. if an "R" is applied to one side, then this is a classic thread with the direction of rotation to the right - clockwise. If an "L" is applied, the direction of rotation is to the left - counter-clockwise.
