These low-cost, no-nonsense shift or brake cables are made from spiral-bound stainless or galvanized steel strands. Both versions are great for repairs on entry-level bikes, but the stainless steel offers better corrosion resistance. Still manufactured to Jagwire's rigorous standards for quality, these cables provide excellent value. Jagwire Basics cables come in two types: - STS-EL (polished, stainless). - GAR - galvanized steel spiral-bound cables STR - stainless steel spiral-bound cables.
