"Shimano suggest changing these every time you change gear cables so I did. I have had three of these left hand shifters and have had bad experiences with two of them ( cable slicing through end cap) and it’s going that way with a third - can’t understand it right hand 11 speed shifter works fine. You can’t get a replacement for the end cap - should be a recall as far as I am concerned the shifter is not fit for purpose"
