The Boyd Cycling CCC 700c Alloy Gravel Wheelset is built from start to finish in South Carolina. Weighing just 1,422g for the set, the CCC has the durability and strength you need when you are riding into the heart of adventure.
The CCC is a wheelset that can handle rugged off-road terrain, while still performing on paved sections. The alloy gravel-specific rim has a 26mm internal width, and has a 2.8mm offset. It features smaller 0.7mm hooks (compared to most standard 1.1mm hooks) with increased thickness on the hook walls (1.35mm) for better impact protection while running lower pressures.
The "CCC" is a name engrained in American history, as the wooded roads it represents, borrows its moniker from the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The CCC was a voluntary public unemployment program designed to provide jobs for young men and to help families who faced challenges finding jobs during the Great Depression. In the mountains of South Carolina there are remnants of Old CCC roads deep in the woods that have become favorite exploration destinations for Boyd Johnson, founder of Boyd Cycling.
