Boyd - Kanuga FF 29er boost Wheelset - XDR

The Kanuga FF represents the next evolution in strength in an alloy mountain bike wheelset. Designed for riders who ride with a full face helmet (the FF stands for Full Face), the Kanuga FF is meant to handle even the harshest of rides.
The Kanuga FF features a 30mm internal width with a massive 37 external width that has a "reverse hook" to improve impact performance. Low rim profile adds to the compliance, while a generous 4mm spoke offset helps to keep the spoke balance evened out. The top of the rim profile features a flat shape to help protect your tyres in the event of bottoming them out. Everything about the Kanuga FF is meant for big travel mountain bikes and long term durability.
This handcrafted wheel is laced with Pillar Wing 21 j-bend spokes and brass nipples and features a 4mm spoke offset to ensure better spoke balance. Three cross lacing pattern built to withstand high-torque loads, and the reinforced hookless profile stands up to everything you can send. This wheel spins BOYD Sixtus MTB hubs that feature 0.5 degrees of engagement, quick swap freehub body, press-fit end caps and is compatible with Shimano Hyperglide, Shimano Microspline, and Sram XDR cassettes. The Kanuga FF wheelset weighs in at 2170g and is built to send it.
The Kanuga FF is manufactured in their South Carolina alloy rim facility.

At the absolute core of the Sixtus is a wildly fast 0.5-degree engagement system. Whether you are ratcheting through vertical rock gardens or sprinting hard out of blown-out corners, your power hits the dirt instantly.
Low Freehub Drag
Most ultra-high-engagement hubs feel slow and draggy when you're coasting. The Sixtus changes everythingengineered internally to eliminate excessive drag so you stay fast when you're off the gas.
E-Bike Rated
Equipped with wider pawl profiles to increase total surface contact against the heavy-duty 102-tooth driver ring. This optimised distribution allows the system to easily handle brutal torque and aggressive gravity abuse.
The Steel Phasing Ring Breakthrough
The genius layout relies on a unique steel phasing ring surrounding the 6-pawl mechanism. Instead of forcing all six pawls to smash down simultaneously, this ring strategically staggers pawl engagement.
The result is mind-blowing 0.5-degree instant engagement without the heavy coasting friction of traditional high-engagement designs.
